“The sky grows darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night.”
I admire your vastness that fills the emptiness in air
The burden of sun moon and stars, how do you bear
To suit their moods you change your colors
You understand their language and relate to their fears
I hear those thunders loud and clear
Is that a way you scream to make them cheer
Your shades so fierce, show how much you care
Those raindrops that fall down must be your tears
You cry for them, for sure they must be dear
How lucky they are, they have someone to hear
It doesn’t matter then if you are far or near
All it matters is when they need you are there
