“I’m tired of trying, sick of crying, I know I’ve been smiling, but inside I’m dying.”

Original Hindi version. English can be found below Hindi

Khushnuma sa ehsaas is dil mein
Teri rukhsat bhi meri takhat hoti
Aur har bharose ki tu buniyaad bhi
Kitna haseen hota wo khayal
Jo tu gayr bhi hota aur mera saaya bhi

English Version:

This love was such that solitude would cry
After departing the departed, the departure would cry
While I was only hoping to be in love
But this love is such, after destroying the destroyer will cry

Once I tried to make you mine
But my story remains here incomplete
I am not going to repent, it’s just going to be fine
After all falling in love with a stranger, it’s my defeat and I won’t repeat!

My voice is lot more stern now, as I question you now,
A happy feeling emerges in my heart…
How are you going to weigh my wishes today?
That you have already torn my wishes apart
I smiled at every wound you gave
Because your love itself was a collusion
Your departure could still have been my strength
And your trust could have been the foundation
The thought itself is so beautiful
That you would have been the beginning and the conclusion.
